In 2020, Youth Capital launched the ten-point Action Plan, co-created in collaboration with young people across South Africa to tackle youth unemployment. The Plan includes three focus areas, Education, Transitions and Jobs. In this brief, Youth Capital delves deeper into the opportunities that exist in the public employment sector for young people; and how these could be strengthened to ensure that young people acquire effective work experience.
